Media GCSE (Double Award)
Media Studies GCSE is designed to allow students to draw on their existing experience of the media and to develop their abilities to explore as well as to create media products. It enables them to explore and create a wide variety of media, including digital media technologies, drawing on the fundamental concepts informing the study of the subject: texts, organisations and audiences/users.
Entry requirements: Two or more subjects at grade C and an average of E to D grades in your GCSEs or the equivalent based on your best eight subjects
Course assessment: 40% external assessment (20hr 30min exam)
60% internal assessment (coursework)
