Media GCSE

Media Studies GCSE is designed to allow students to draw on their existing experience of the media, as well as strengths and skills learnt at English Language GCSE. It enables them to explore and create a wide variety of media - including digital media technologies - drawing on the fundamental concepts of the subject, including media language, audiences, institutions and representation. This qualification is designed to enable students to access Advanced (Level 3) courses.

This course is available to all Access students.
Assessment
70% exams and 30% coursework.
Progression
Students on this course can progress to the wide range of A level courses offered at the college, and the BTEC Level 3 courses may be of particular interest.
