Whatever your previous background in Maths, this course is designed to help you to develop your understanding and to progress. If you have achieved a Grade 3 in GCSE Maths you will have the opportunity to take a one-year intensive course with two opportunities to increase your grade.
If you have not yet achieved a Grade 3 you will take the GCSE over two years. In the first year you will study for an alternative Maths qualification. This course will help you apply Maths to situations you will face in employment and in daily life and successful completion of the course will build confidence and give a good foundation to have another attempt at the GCSE in the second year.
Entry requirements: Grade 3 in GCSE Maths for the one year course. Grade 2 or below for the two year course.
Course assessment: Three externally assessed exams, which will take place in November, with a second opportunity in June.
