Business Studies AS/A Level

The first year of the 2 year linear A level and the standalone AS course are identical. In this first year you will study the key areas that businesses need to consider, e.g. marketing, accounts, operations management, people, objectives and strategy, as well as the many external factors affecting business. In addition, you will learn the principles behind each part of a business and look at companies and products that you know.

In Year 2 of the linear A level, the emphasis changes. Building on the first year, you will use analytical and evaluative techniques to develop business strategy. You will also learn about how businesses operate in a dynamic and changing world.

Grade 4 in GCSE English and Maths. No previous knowledge of Business Studies is required.
Written exams
