Travelling to College
Godalming College encourages students to use alternative modes of travel and is working with local transport operators to give students more convenient access to services. By doing this we also aim to reduce the amount of traffic to promote a greener environment.
We endeavour to keep this page as up to date as possible but transport operators are within their rights to alter any of these services, you are therefore advised to check details about transport before making a purchase.
Students living in Surrey and aged 16-18 can purchase an annual fare card. This offers reduced fares on train and/or bus travel for journeys to and from college, visit www.surreycc.gov.uk/roads-and-transport
Travelling by bus
Stagecoach operates a Unirider bus service for Godalming College. Tickets purchased in advance include reduced price travel across the network during term time. Travel by train
The College is within walking distance of Godalming train station on the main Waterloo to Portsmouth line. Full time students can save 1/3 on off peak train fares, nationally, by purchasing an annual railcard, visit www.16-25railcard.co.uk

We are currently working with South Western Railway regarding a discount scheme that will apply to season tickets for rail travel from areas wider than Surrey. This should be in operation for the start of the Academic Year in September 2019.
Travelling from Farnham, Hindhead, Petersfield, Liphook and Haslemere
College buses operate from the Farnham, Hindhead, Petersfield, Liss, Liphook, Rake, Bordon, Headley, Grayshott, Ash, Puttenham, Normandy and Haslemere. View the College bus service routes here
The College has 220 spaces available for students parking on-site. As this is limited, priority for permits is given to those students who:
- Live more than 1 ½ miles from the College
- More than 1 ½ miles from a railway station
- Are committed car sharers or who have a disability/medical condition
Only safe drivers will be allowed on the campus. In order to park you must register your car details with College security. In order to park you must register your car details with College security. Motorbike and moped spaces are provided and cycle racks are available.
Disabled parking bays can be found at main entrances to the College and the campus is fully accessible to wheelchair users.
