"One of the main reasons for coming to Godalming College was the great reviews I heard about the drama department. I have been pushed out of my comfort zone,  developed a whole range of acting styles  and given a broader experience of performing because of the combination of devising, being a director and acting.

The department offers a range of productions throughout the two years which are incredible fun. I was involved with the musical production of ‘Cabaret’ in my first year: I was Helga, a KitKat girl, as well as being one of the choreographers. This show was filled with such enthusiasm and energy through musical numbers such as ‘Mein Herr’ - definitely an experience to remember.

I hope to pursue a career in the performing arts industry, balancing all three disciplines: dancing, singing and acting. Before college, my confidence in drama was weaker than my singing and dancing, however, when auditioning for musical theatre courses at colleges such as Laines, Bird, Arts Ed and Urdang a year and a half later, I felt a lot less self-conscious and better able to cope when put on the spot doing improvisations. I have finally made my decision to go to Bird College in September which I am very excited about!"
