Starting College not knowing anyone was terrifying but I felt supported and encouraged right from the start, thanks to the amazing opportunities offered by the College such as taking part in debating competitions, being part of the
Students’ Union or going to the House of Lords.
Studying Sociology has helped me understand the world around me better and taught me how the structure of society shapes us as people, and it’s this understanding that I hope to build on by studying Sociology and Politics at university.
Before I came to College I was lonely and quite aimless but I’m leaving with an amazing group of friends, as co-chair of the Debating Society and with a plethora of amazing experiences I never pictured having.
