Another set of excellent results at Godalming College

Godalming College has once again maintained an outstanding level of performance at A level and students enjoyed celebrating the results of their hard work with a results day breakfast.

The key headlines for 2017 exam results are:-

  • In excess of 900 students studied for A level exams and BTEC qualifications with 2397 entries at A level and 320 BTEC entries
  •  A level pass rate at 99.3%
  •  A*-C grade rate at 81%
  •  29% of the total A level entries are at A*-A grade
  •  28 subjects had a 100% pass rate
  •  BTEC pass rate at 100% with 92% of entries at Distinction* - Merit
  •  61 students achieved A* and A grades in all of their subjects

Emma Young, Principal of the College, said:- " Once again Godalming College students have performed at the highest levels. The results are excellent and exceed national benchmarks. We had 2397 entries at A level and well over half of thse were at A*-B. Our BTEC results are also superb and have improved on last year. These results are all achieved in the context of inclusice entry requirments. This has been the first set of results in a number of subjects that have been reformed at A level. The consistency of our performance is testament to the dedication and expertise of our teachers who have worked really hard to ensure that the students were fully prepared for their exams. These results clearly provide a strong foundation for students to progress onto their next step, whether that be university, an apprenticeship or employment. Well done to all our brilliant students and we wish them all the very best for the future."
