Anne Milton, Guildford’s MP to visit Godalming College

Anne Milton, Guildford’s MP and the Minister for Apprenticeships and Skills in the Department for Education, will visit Godalming College this Friday 18 May.  She will take a tour of the College and meet and chat to students and staff there about their experience.

Godalming College is a high performing College specialising in the 16-19 age group and curriculum.  The College offers a wide range of courses from which students can choose, ensuring they have individualised study programmes to meet their needs, interests and abilities.  Results are excellent and consistently exceed national benchmarks.  The College is a very popular choice for post 16 study, attracting students from over 100 different schools.

Speaking about the visit, Anne said:

“Godalming College rightly has a very high reputation locally, doing a brilliant job for many of my constituents in Cranleigh and Guildford.  My grateful thanks to the fantastic team at Godalming College for organising this visit.”

Emma Young Principal said:

“I am delighted to be able to welcome Anne to Godalming College.  Her visit is a great opportunity for her to see our wonderful College, its facilities, as well as meet some of our students and staff, who all make Godalming the special place that it is.  Anne is only too aware of the challenges, particularly in respect of funding, that the 16-19 sector faces and I appreciate the opportunity to discuss this with her directly.  I thank Anne very much for her time and I hope this will be the first of many visits she makes to our College”
