Hospitality students raise money for local charities

Hospitality have been working very hard this month running events and raising money for some very worthy local charities. Retro Events ran a vintage clothing sale, chocolate tombola and cake sale in the social study area on Monday 9th December and raised a wonderful £227 for Disability Challengers, a local charity which run organised play schemes and provide truly inclusive, fun and safe places for disabled children to play in a variety of locations throughout Surrey and Hampshire.

Brain Wave ran a parent/staff quiz night ‘Let’s Get Quizzical’ on Friday 6th December and raised an amazing £1162 for The Meath Epilepsy Charity. The Meath is a well known charity in Godalming who help enhance the lives of people who have complex epilepsy and related disabilities by ensuring they receive the support, expert care and encouragement required to build confidence, acquire new skills and maximise independence in their daily lives. An excellent outcome was achieved for both charities with so much hard work and dedication put into both events from all students involved.  A big thank you to everyone who came along and made both events so successful!
