Ever since a young age, I have always admired and respected different logos and packaging as these are key elements to what makes a strong brand identity and presence in my opinion. I think the time when I finally established my passion for graphic design would be when I had a work placement at Standard Bank London, where I followed the marketing and graphic design team around daily to get an insight as to what the industry is like in a professional environment.
When I studied graphic design at Godalming College, I genuinely can not name one negative aspect, I loved every minute of it; mostly because there is such a wide range of resources available, it allowed me to explore and further my mixed media theme in my project.
To take my graphic design skills further, I carried out an EPQ where I designed two magazines under a brand identity named ‘Communique’. These magazines were predominantly based on mental health and fashion; I took this brand idea further by essentially turning one of my magazines into a film for my media project.
I intend to study graphic design further at university where I will carry on developing and experimenting with brand identities and ideas.
