Science and Environmental

This course will explore different types of crimes and look at case studies of these. We also explore how crime statistics are generated and why these are not accurate. We look at the personal and cultural reasons for unreported crime as well as the impact this has on society. Finally, we look at the part that different forms of media play in crime and the theories that might explain this, drawing upon fields of research from Sociology and Psychology.


This course will provide students with the knowledge and analytical skills to support them as they develop their future plans beyond Godalming College.
