This short course will provide a welcoming, non-judgmental space to explore the concept of Mindfulness and its role in positively managing our physical and mental wellbeing. Through small group discussions and activities, the sessions will focus on building greater self-awareness by recognising and responding to difficult or unhelpful thoughts, in order to feel calmer and less stressed. It will also teach practical mindfulness skills and techniques that can help you, or a friend or family member, pay more attention to the ‘present’. This includes breath awareness, grounding techniques, guided meditations, mindful movement, practising gratitude, self-care and compassion.
