My College experience is phenomenal!
I study two BTEC subjects and an A Level and have benefitted from a lot of support ranging from tutor help, to drop in workshops, and excellent teacher feedback. I also attend the ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) as I am Polish. I think that the ’50:50’ amount of work, is very manageable and I would argue it’s always quite enjoyable to discover something new. There are also many ‘enrichments’ that the College provides, I have chosen ‘Forensics’ as my enrichment in the first year, and it was a lot of fun. The second year I decided to pick ‘Rock School Practitioners Course’ and ‘Core Maths’ which give me extra qualifications to additionally support my UCAS application. I have picked the subjects I am doing for few a reasons but the main reason is that I enjoy coursework more than exams, hence two BTEC subjects. This has not been a barrier to my applications at university as I have been accepted by 4 universities to study Biochemistry.
