There are many benefits to this meditative exercise: it increases muscle strength and tone, lowers blood pressure, reduces insomnia, helps you deal with stress, promotes calmness and improves your strength, flexibility and balance. Yoga improves concentration and clear thinking, and is suitable for nearly everyone.
Each session will help you with stretching, grounding, balancing, twisting and feature breathing exercises and relaxation at the end. We will explore different types of yoga from vinyasa ('flow' yoga) to hatha which is more stationary. (Those with medical condition(s) should check with their GP before starting taking classes.)
